That box then belongs to lot.
In addition there is a $50 key deposit. That is the amount the USPS charges to change locks.
In theory when the County planning Department assigns your street address to a TMK it is been forwarded to the USPS for input into their address management system AMS, which reads and scans and sorts the mail gets it to the right location. For some reason mini Seaview addresses are not in the USPSAMS. It is very important that you go to www.smartystreets.com use the single address verification option and input your address it will check the spelling modify the address and verify that you are in AMS. The Pahoa post office has asked everyone new in Seaview to include their Seaview box number as part of their street address.
(Example)12-202 Mapuana Avenue #7
People who have always used RR2 will still receive mail as always.
Steps to take now in prep for meeting:
1. Gather TMK paperwork
2. Bring check or money order
3. Check www.smartystreets.com
to ensure your address has been entered.
