On behalf of the Kalapana Seaview community we would like to offer a big Mahalo to all who took part and cooperated in finding solutions to returning our front lawn to a manageable and enjoyable place to visit.

A special thanks goes out to the Lower Puna Police, Sanitation Officers from DOH, as well as officers from DLNR. We appreciate their continued support in addressing the illegal vending in and around our lawn and other law enforcement issues.

We would like to thank the drummers for being open minded to options of addressing our situation on the lawn. It is our goal, with the ongoing help of the Police, to seek positive outcomes for our community. We do reach out to all lawn enthusiasts to honor our closing time of 7pm so that we can have peaceful Sunday evenings. Again, Seaview’s front lawn is no longer open to the public and we will be working with the Puna Police Department and the Department of Health to implement our community’s rules and policies.
